Most 'duplicate' bugs or glitches just cause ghost items, aka fake items that only the client thinks are there, but in. The server has 20 tps, but I can see micro lags (really micro). 1.12.2 ArmorStand issue/duplicate glitch.
The bug doesn't work without many players online. If player push shulker with piston, shulker can be doubled. When the server has a lot of player online, players can use piston or sticky piston and shulker to duplicate shulker.
